ugh ... my mom came home yesterday and was like "ash i planned out ur future ... your going to go to college @ UNCC." :( and that she would pay for everything ... and i could live @ home and not pay anything ... but UNCC doesnt have the major i want ... and we got in a huge arguement about that b/c she said i should pick another major ... but i dont wanna ... :( lol The college i wanna go to is really expencive ... its $70,000 a year ... and i need a 4 year degree for my career (computer graphic designing)... so my mom was like ... well if u dont go to UNCC im not payin 4 u to go to college ... ughhh

does n e one have any suggestions to help with college problems, or similar problems ... or n e thing 2 say about college in general lol :D

i have one advice for you.

when i first chose my majors i too thought i wanted to do computer aided design.. etc etc.. all these basic crafts can be learnt in 2 semesters as a subject or two.

in reallity, theres just so many people out there that can do computer design ... that that subject is just plain useless.... unless ofcourse ur skilled at programming and u can make computer graphics or something.

i am really really good at drawing and working with computers so i def. want my major to be graphic design or web design ...

but i see what ur sayin ... ima scope my opitions out first ...

and i dont think i can get a scholarship b/c my grades are just average ... there nothin great :(

but i am looking into grants ... b/c everyone can get grants :D

i kinda went throught the same thing.my dad said i could go newhere i wanted, as long as i got financial aid, but then he didn't fill out the FAFSA form until April, when u probably won't get any aid cuz the government has given away all the money since january, so i didn't get to go to the school i wanted to go to, and now i'm going to a community college for two years, and then transferring to cut the cost of tuition.anyways, what i'm saying is,one, u should fill out the FAFSA form as soon as u can, which is January 1, and two, u should consider going to a community college before a 4 year university.

ur mom is wrong. a college education is a college education, whether its community college or a university generally doesn't matter.def look into trying to go to a community college first.
