The Scout(poem/Story)

[Aft3rmath]

Now I will be going into the Marines as a Scout Sniper is 2 years, so this is deticated to what I am going to do after college.

Just read it...not that long, but ending is cool.


It is 4:00 in the morning, I have been waiting for three days,

The bushes show more life than me,

I crawled on my stomach for 2 and a half days, 4 miles later, I watch as the children play,

Hidden I am, and hidden I will stay, code name santa clause, only come once a year to give you something special, on a special day,

Special indeed, this man will receive a gift from my heart and the patter in which I breath,

The clock ticks, and the bugs beneath me sturr about in the dirt, I was trying to think if this was going to work,

It is 12 in the after noon, now its the 4th day out in the wild, I can hardly stay awake, so I play with sticks and twigs like a child,

Its now 4 in the after noon, my taget is standing on the street drinking, holding his flask, and peering out at me, as if he knew something was fishy,

Quickly i ready my sights, adjusted to the wind, became one with my gun, a 50 caliber Barrete rifle, the mother of all sin, the commander of fun,

He starts to walk away glaring out in my direction, Hopeing he didnt see me I got ready to shoot, fearing detection,

All of the sudden something kicks me in the foot, i hear breathing, heavy breathing, god I am dead I dont have time to turn and shoot.

It was a patrol, who walked right by me not even seeing me lying down,
shit that was close, the pressure is climbing, i have a minute to shoot this clown,

I line up my sites on this mans head, a cigar in his mouth, and smurk on his face, lookign as if he knows he will be dead,

30 seconds to adjust my shot make sure my sites wont miss, good they are on the intended plot, I pull out a picture of my wife and give it a kiss,

He looks out at me, as if he saw my eyes, he closed his and soon he knew he would die,

I placed my hand on the trigger, took three deep breaths, stared down the scope, pulled the tirgger, and now I have become the godfather of death,

I watch as his body slumps over, no life, no danger, peace finally, this war is over,

Fear for my life I search for my side arm, three gaurds come running past me still not seeing me, wow I am lucky they cant find me with this camo on,

I reach extraction, i go home, my wife looks at me with reliefe, and says I saw the news today, osama binladen is dead, a sniper shot him before he got away, clean throught the head,

I responded, I know, I shot him, he knew about his crimes, I cant believe I did it I ended the war, but wars are not won by shooting one man at a time.
