Why did you post this topic here? Anyway, it doesn't matter to me because some people like to tell people their opinions and I'm assuming that no where else people will listen to them. Also it really annoys me when people post unneccesary topics in places where they don't belong. But that's just my opinion...

I have a problem if they date so far back, but i'm okay if its a week. Some people who bring the old topics up is people who want to raise their post count...

on one hand it gets very repetative, but people change their minds to, so somtimes it is good to have a debate. Whatever though, this is intruiging, maby there is a way that we could prevent that, but i dont no

I've noticed that you're doing it a lot Ines. Can you check the date before posting? If you don't know where to look for the date that it was posted, check the very first post right from the user name).

It bugs me too that ppl don't check the publishing date on posts, so to close news topics after a set time would be a good idea - unless, as Alyssa says, it's topics like "your favourite this and that."

I sent a messege to TR telling him about thinking of making a forum for topics a month old and locking them. What do you guys think?

Am guessing you mean an Archive mod similar to the likes of VB and IPB.
I'll look into this, defiently a good suggestion. :)
