Special guest Akon was interviewed on Soccer AM on Saturday 3rd February.
Tim Lovejoys show, which is extremely popular this side of the Atlantic, hosted the rapper, along with other special guests Steve McManaman.
During the show "Tubes" directed his one question towards the Senegalese rapper, asking "Who do you think is the greatest rapper ever?"
Akon replied "Eminem, definately Eminem"
When asked why, Akon replied that Eminem comes from a completely different culture than most typical rappers, and yet still managed to make it.
Contributing Eminems major success as a rapper towards the fact he can make any type of hits.."He can make comedy hits, party hits, anything, which is something you don't see from most other rappers", Akon made clear that Eminem surpasses the likes of Jay-Z and 50 Cent, even Tupac.
Quite a few would disagree, but recent collaborations with between Eminem and Akon surely had a large influence on the rappers answer in todays show.
The Senegalese rapper also testified to Bolton Wanderers being his favourite soccer team, no doubt due to Senegalese international striker Diouf playing for the side.
