the chances of geting signed are very slim, the chances of geting signed by dropping a mixtape on the net is even slimmer, you got to make tapes shift units get your name known localy, you nee to have connections, radio underground dj's you need to get your music heard every single way possible, then if you got skill and lucky you may get a deal

its all about havin right connections and knowing right people.Otherwise like asp said dont quit the 9 to 5.Best thing ya man can do is pollute the net as much possible as he can and go to local rap contests and radios and beg them to play your music.

The internet helps sometimes, but what you really need is to become locally known, because from there you can be getting played on local stations and have local circulation if you lucky, and then someone important could hear it.

thats also true, even impressing a local rnb singer or any sort of musician try get a small part in her/his track, basically you need to do everything possible to getyou and your music heard EVERYTHING, dro at forum, make cd's give them away for free if need be, get your ass outside stand outside the mall give them your cd for free, get a soundclick myspace, perform anywere possible even if you aint geting pyed for it do it to get heard, and even after doing that for 2-4 years you could still be no were, its the worst carrer to try obatin *just remembered he alreayd posted in here* lol :sweating:

but like the other guy said dont have it as your main target, i do it for a hobby and something i enjoy doing and want to improve in, if you really really want to make it, learn how to produce or mix, do courses in them and get in through that way, get good at beats then when you make a artists a bt ft on the track get yourself out a little, you know :sweating:
