unless there are notible tears or wear i think you've changed the settings somewhere.Maybe the mic recording volume within windows.or maybe something on your mixer.At very worse your mic could be damaged.
i never really mess with the settings since i use my mixer as a external ( i think thats the right word ) soundcard
