SOUND SCAN

I don't know if you know the Soundscan numbers for this week, but I was so startled that I couldn't face the facts. Buck did pretty good, but I was a lil' disappointed in Mims and Redman's sales. Red's album is very, very good. And Mims, I haven't heard it, but he's got the single of the year. Meanwhile, Akon just chugs along. No disrespect to Ak, but who is buying all these albums? I think he's got the world market on lock. Hip Hop sales are weak as ever. What is going on?

#3. Young Buck - Buck the World - 140,250
#4. Mims - Music Is My Savior - 77,596
#5. Akon - Konvicted - 66,844 (1,998,950)
#13. Redman - Red Gone Wild - 44,356
#14. Lil' Flip - I Need Mine(2CD) - 43,296
#24. Rich Boy - Rich Boy - 31,778 (192,744)
#32. Prodigy - Return of the Mac - 26,768
#71. Devin the Dude - Waitin' to Inhale - 12,105 (37,738)
#77. Tha Dogg Pound - Dogg Chit - 11,615
#174.EL-P - I'll Sleep When You're Dead - 5,008 (16,425

LMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
rofl rofl rofl.

Just the fact that wack ass rappers like Rich boy and Mims are selling, means hip hop is not only in trouble, its dead of the tracks.

I wish cancer to all of you idiots that actually listen to Rich boy. Since i heard "just bought a Cadillac" (or something like that) by this idiot, i can safely say he has the brain capabilities of a fucking monkey.

Mims too is a god damn monkey, his mother was too, here look heres a picture of her:

There IS NOTHING to buy in the stores, how the fuck u expect the sales to go up. NONE of the great rappers are promoted. The music isnt respected, especially not respected by lawyal hip hop fans that buy music religiously. Shit i cant even find a Rakim cd in the store. RAKIM... and D4L is there

Uhh fuck it, ive discussed this like a zillion times, dont have the will to do it again.

hip-hop was looking for a new direction, and it went the wrong way. it'll be okay.

this why hip hop needs to get the fuck of that wack direction. Its getting ridiculous at this point. But i dont blame the south, i blame the dumb kids that try to imitate and keep putting those morons on the charts. I live for this music, its part of my life, it just really concerns me at times how some people destroy what people have been building for a decade with their stupidity.

the average listener doesnt like real lyrics... they just want the beats so they can "lean wit it rock wit it". so when Nas or some otha credible rapper comes out its like, "who? oh yea, him."

the whole fact that a song that went to number 11 when it was original released ( 20 odd years ago i think ) got re-released and is now at number 1 for the second week is proving that downfall in all of music
