Innocent child's play? Or some kind of sick Propaganda plot?

The other day I was charged with the task of keeping an eye on my little cousins while they played outside. I was sitting there, wondering how much longer I'd have to watch them, when one of them says this,"Let's imagine the cars are tanks and that the cannons are protecting the city, ok?"

No big deal right? Then I heard this, "the tanks are the Red team and the cannons are the Blue team" Still not a big deal, just two kids playing. But then I hear this, "The good guys are the Americans against the Red! The Americans will save the city."

That's when something occured to me. How is it that a 6 year old who is forbiddnen from being exposed to anything that would give them the idea that "the Americans are the good guys"?

Is it some coincidence that "America" is fighting "The Reds" in this case?

Is it somehow inherited knowledge? If not, how do children aquire that kind of info?

isn't it everybody's instinct to have their country be the good guys in anything? i think its just a couple kids playing. i wouldn't think about it too much

Well, some kids just think about stuff more than other kids do, my little 4 or 5 year old cousin spit on my uncle's face the other day, ain't that pretty crazy? So I wouldn't be shocked that they're playing like the way they were, a lot of kids shock others (adults) just out of the blue...

Stalin ordering death sentence to 600 000 anti-revolutionaries, criminals - ohh my god EVIL.

Americans dropping two nukes on cities - "its ok we did it for freedome coz they were against us"

Soviet gulags (prisons) - "omg death camps... omg"
American prison camps in Guantanamo bay and the prisons for the "Japs"(during WW2) - " its ok we did it for freedome"

i dont see no harm in kids playing like that though, since wen i was a kid i envisioned massacring germans like there's no tommorow. Never gave a fuck about the "blue team" america though.



I think, such stereotypes and biggotry need to go though, history should be reviewed after all the bias caused by the Cold war and Americans REALLY should by now stop being ignorant in media.... As Putin said it "the cold war is over" .

i think its definitely propaganda, its reasonably normal 4 kids 2 view their country/city as "the good guys" or want 2 be on their side, its instinct usually but i guess i can see where ur going...
