I don't have a surge protector either so in a strom I still use my pc
but put the computer in the bath.

back in the day, when i had my old internet connection it used 2 disconnect me very often :unsure:

really can't use it when there is lighting sometimes the power shuts off lol so don't risk it :sweating:
