I may aswell open the topic for it

i aint listened to it all yet but so far, cashis flows and ryhmes but his track so far are mostly pointless and shitty concepts, but at least when he flows and ryhmes he sounds kool, his older tracks he sucked at everything

okay i listened to every track and ill give an honest opinion. the beats were pretty good. and Cashis sounds better than he did on the re-up.
only thing that bothers me is the fact that it seems as if he's putting to many topics in one song rather than just making one topic for a song.

and again so far every concept is

Guns
Killing people
Guns
Killing people
not afraid beef
how its King mathers not eminem

and thats the core of them...

Blackheart wrote:So, for starters, i gotta say that i don't really like cashis and i never have either.

The only song that reminded me to have hope in this guy is "Serenade my life" which was a very sick track in my opinion.

I just got his album and bumped it all the way through, here what i tought...

1. County Hound [Intro]
It's an intro, what can i say...

2. That ***** A Gangster
Pretty dope and "heavy" beat.
Pretty crappy. but the chorus is kinda catchy.

3. Gun Rule
Average production.
"you ain't been where i''m from fool" i like that line.
but the song is pretty bad overall but cashis kinda stepped up his flow.

4. Ms.Jenkins
Probably the darkest and one of the most enjoyal parts of the album.
I like the way he takes us to the scene of the story he's telling.
Pretty good lyrics.
Tight beat, pretty dark, which is cool.

But when he says:
"Dear Ms.Jenkins // Hi, i'm cashis // I murdered your son // I send you my love"

And throughout the track he seems pretty eager to reconcile with this person called "Ms. Jenkins". I don't know if he's being serious about having killed "Jenkins" son...

5. Just Like Me
Weak production.
Very repetitive.
But the concept could have been better if more worked on.
I don't like his style on this one.

6. Pistol Poppin
"The" best joint on the record.
Sick beat.
Good concept.
Best flow Cashis has ever done.
Lyrics are average.

Eminem's part:
Pretty sick.
Makes me eager for his upcoming album.
He mentions Obie & Proof having been shot.
I really enjoyed this verse, he's closer to "the eminem show" than he was on "The Re-Up" back in december.

7. Thoughts Of Suicide
Pretty good track compared to the other tracks
But the beat sucks in my opinion
the lyrics are average

8. Lac Motion [Bonus Track]
Baddddd flow, this is exactly the flow Cashis should looooose NOW before it gets too late.
One of the worsts moments of the album...

Overall:
Average album
Best tracks : Pistol Poppin & Ms.Jenkins
Folow up: Thoughts of Suicide

Last time I was saying cashis really didn't deserve his spot but now, I'm a little convinced that he has limited skill. He has to prove some more.

If Cashis did sound better than he did on the Re-Up then this must be an exellent album. On the Re-Up Cashis was great! as soon as he showed on We're Back i knew this guy could rap. On Cry Now his verse was my favorite and on You Don't Know he was okay too. But Everything is Shady is a little borin but i like the chorus, and Talkin All that was just bogus and very borin. But i like the endin of the first verse though and thats it. But We Ride for Shady is a great song and Ca$his did pretty good.

I think Cashis did a pretty good job on the Re-Up all the times he showed, apart from the two songs i mentioned that he did mediocre

Aside from Halftime, three moderately popular singles were released in order to promote Illmatic. However, due to its lack of commercial appeal, and massive bootlegging, the album did not do well in terms of record sales.

yea that's every rappers response when they don't sell many albums, while eminem sells 10.5 million during the days of Napster..HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
