it is safe. most hardware (print off a hardware spec list for you comptuer first) will have linux drivers on the net and even if they don't theres a program called NDISWrapper and you just open it and feed it the Windows driver and it converts and installs it (i acutaly just use NDISWrapper for everthing casue i have this driver disk that came w/ my comp has all my windows drivers on it)

also for your games or favorite app theres a program called wine and you feed it the windows .exe and it runs it. (does not work if the game or app is newer than you version of wine, so doesn't work for cutting edge games or apps, but every 2 months or so it catches up.)

edit: i run a compaq presario r3000 labtop which if i'm not mistaken shares alot of hardware with the toshiba, so you'll defenatly be good. but like i said, anything with a windows driver will work with ndiswrapper

Good business in essence forces one to purchase at highest cost possible, gates enormous salary is a social financing loophole.

If you have a product, and people want it, you're going to get money because people are going to buy it.

Ill get my money for working not setting my own salary. Gates made an invention and inovation, it had a price when it was first utilised and it was prolly well paid for, why should any one still pay him for it? A computer with all the soft. could cost 1000$ instead of 1000$, some kid could have a better education on that money.

say it cost hiim 999$ to build a computer and put on the software and pay his employes and taxe and all that good shit.. so 999$ is the break even point

so he sells them for 1000$ only making 1 dollar per computer.. how much more can he lower it. one dollar profit per unit is defenatly not social paritism.

now with the 3 some billion computers in the world.. 2.99999999 billion being his.. he is still 'Filthy Rich"

he just happend to come up with somthing that every1 uses. if he lowerd the cost any he'd be loosing money.. but at the current rate he's making billions......

Hence the Milinda and Bill Gates foundation and scholarships and all that good shit. Even just all his money sitting in the banks (smartly i'm sure) helps out or econemy.

What is he to do? Just start writing checks to random people? Give it to the Governmetn? i'd rather Gates have that cash then Bush..lol

he isnt an economy parasite, he brings profits his fellow computer company owners.... hes a SOCIAL parasite. ur still talking bout one person... mr gates aka the social parasite. Im talking about the fact that it is a collective effort to build a computer, if gates is overpaid for doing same or less amount of work, workers that build the computers arent getting the amount of money they work is worth. And no they wouldnt be social parasites since that would be mmore than one person earning money for real work.
