http://bunny-power.blogspot.com/2006/06 ... -poze.html About Gay Fest:
Every year since 2005, ACCEPT has been organizing GayFest - a festival in which we recognize and celebrate diversity.
The festival takes place in Bucharest and is dedicated to the LGBT community (lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgender) in Romania, as well as to their supporters, friends and families.
GayFest is defined by its movies, debates, parties and the GAY MARCH; all those make GayFest a dynamic, inciting, provocative and ...diverse celebration.
Why?
GayFest wants to take out, in the streets, the life of the LGBT community.
GayFest wants to show the Romanians that there is room for everybody in the world.
GayFest wants to get rid of the stereotypes and the prejudices against the LGBT.
GayFest is primarily a celebration where culture meets human rights to offer people an opportunity to live their lives authentically and in dignity.

So i think there were like 300 who were there.

Then there is a group called "Noua Dreapta" who is against those people with other sexual orientations.

NOUA DREAPTA vs. GAY PARADE
On the 28th of May there took place in Bucharest the first Gay Parade ever organised in Romania. Considering this type of manifestation as an offense against common-sense and moral ethics, the neo-legionary movement Noua Dreapta (New Right) organized a counter-demonstration, reckoning that saying "NO" to homosexuality is not a prejudice, but the manifestation of a system of values based on the Holy Scriptures and the traditional values of the Romanian family.
Over 50 militants shouted "Shame on you!" carrying placards with the message "For normality, against homosexuality". Subsequently, Noua Dreapta's protest, that took place in the vicinity of Saint Spiridon Church, degenerated due to the police violence our militants being fined with over 150 million ROL (almost 5000 EUR).
As a natural continuation of our protest against homosexuality, a major factor in our society's moral crumbling, Noua Dreapta initiated a wide campaign to gather signatures to re-incriminate the homosexual propaganda and public manifestations.
A video recording from the counter-demonstration is available here:

Those are violent

.
Noua Dreapt? -Extremist Reputation
Noua Dreapt?, (ultra-nationalist organization in Romania, founded in 2000) embraces and uses clear images of legionarism, the ideology of the extreme nationalist and anti-Semitic interwar Iron Guard, which roughly paralleled the Fascist and Nazi movements in Italy and Germany. The group's symbol, the Celtic Cross usually drawn on a green background, is clearly and identifiably reminiscent of the symbol of the Iron Guard. Noua Dreapt? has aligned itself with organizations elsewhere in Europe with strongly anti-Semitic views, although it has not focused its efforts against Romania's currently small Jewish community. Rather, the group has concentrated its rhetoric and efforts against the ethnic Hungarians, Roma, sexual minorities and minority religious faiths. In May 2006, dozens of Noua Dreapt? members were arrested by police after trying to violently disrupt the GayFest pride parade in Bucharest. Police also used teargas to disperse the counterprotesters led by individuals identified as Noua Dreapt? members.
The group's beliefs include militant nationalism and strong Orthodox religious convictions. Noua Dreapt?'s web site indicates opposition to sexual minorities, Roma, abortion, communism, globalization, the European Union, NATO, religious groups other than the Eastern Orthodox Church, autonomy for Romania's ethnic Hungarian minority, and foreign cultural influences They claim to be against both Marxism and capitalism, but do not clearly explain their concept of "social justice" economics. The members of Noua Dreapt? revere the leader of the Iron Guard in the 1930s, Corneliu Zelea Codreanu. Noua Dreapt? members refer to him as "C?pitanul" ("The Captain"), which is what Codreanu's supporters called him during his lifetime.
.........................................................................................................................
Over 100 people were arrested and 3 police officers were wounded.

Lol....the were 300 participants and 700 police officers.

So what do you think?

Of this thing "Gay Fest"? And "Noua Dreapta"? And "Noua Dreapta" should've killed them?
