Listen this war is nothing like Vietnam, first off the war is being fought for two completely different reasons:
Vietnam: Was to help south Korea and France out with North Korea, and to embrace trade embargoes so they wouldn't blow each other up.

Iraq war: Bush initially went over there for weapons of mass destruction, but turns out that the south redneck piece of shit that I have to respect, is infact fighting for south Iraq's oil banks, and to ensure that terrorists don't get their fingers into the oil network, or basically we are fucked.

- I don't necessarily agree with the war, but I have to, I am fighting in it soon. SO when you punks feel you have a right to compare this war to another, look a little deeper, no war is comparable, you cant compare them, its not possible at all. If you want to speak you mind then speak it, but speak the truth and don't make your self look like an idiot. I am a U.S Marine and I am going to kill people I don't know, but war is the mask on all our faces, it just protects from the blood spatter so we look clean.

Vietnam: was a war that didn't need to happen, if you look at all the other wars, they all had a purpose, Vietnam didn't. The war in Iraq has many points:
1.) Protecting our democracy
2.) Protecting out rights and freedom from being invaded upon.( 9/11)
3.) Oil=$, but also if the terrorists get there fingers in it, we are FUCKED!!!
4.) To protect Iraq from totally domination by Taliban and Alqueida and becoming an even bigger threat than it already is.

Vietnam was a real dumb war, many lives were lost, and we didn't lose the war, we pulled out because south Vietnam asked us to so they could surrender. There are no official treaty or surrender documents, so technically we are still at war with them, I know this I am a 6 year college graduate valedictorian, deans list all years, and a 3 year military man, I am no dumb ass or "Uneducated" according to a kid on this fucking site.
