I was a fiend before I became a teen
I melted microphones instead of cones of ice cream
Music orientated so when hip-hop was originated
Fitted like pieces of puzzles.... complicated
'Cause I grab the mic and try to say, " Yes y'all!"
They tried to take it, and say that I'm too small
Cool, 'Cause I don't get upset
I kick a hole in the speaker, pull the plug, then I jet

i don't even have to say who wrote this, anybody who's an actual hip hop fan should know this.

and

Viktor the director flip a script like Rob Reiner
The way a lotta dudes rhyme their name should be "knob shiner"
For a buck, they'd likely dance the Jig or do the Hucklebuck
To Vik it's no big deal, they're just a buncha knuckle-fucks
You wonder how well would they hold up in a holding cell
It sorta had the strange makings of a tale told in hell
Like "Oh well," hold tall riches
If the Feds is really after him they'll just tell all the snitches

Nas: NY State Of Mind
"Inhale deep like the words of my breath,
I never sleep 'cos sleep is the cousin of Death"

Canibus: Poet Lauriette II
"Hip Hop has never been the same since '88
Since it became a lucrative profession as a misconception
in the movement in any direction as progression"

Rakim: Follow The Leader
"In this journey you're the journal I'm the journalist
Am I Eternal? Or an eternalist?"

EMinem: open Mic
"And in a slug fest I get physical like physicians
Invisible like magicians with mystical mic traditions
Wicked wizardry, like a sorcerer and no remorse for you
When I torture you throughout the course of my orchestra"

Big Pun:
"Cannibalism is livin in my metabolism
Givin em spasms and aneurisms at baby baptisms"

It ain't hard to tell, I excel, then prevail
The mic is contacted, I attract clientele
My mic check is life or death, breathin a sniper's breath
I exhale the yellow smoke of buddha through righteous steps
Deep like The Shinin', sparkle like a diamond
Sneak a uzi on the island in my army jacket linin
Hit the Earth like a comet, invasion
Nas is like the Afrocentric Asian, half-man, half-amazin
Cause in my physical, I can express through song
Delete stress like Motrin, then extend strong
I drank Moet with Medusa, give her shotguns in hell
From the spliff that I lift and inhale, it ain't hard to tell

damn ^^ that verse is ill af fuck :) to be more precise it is illmatic ^^

It's not a act, this is fact, this is how I'm programmed
This is me, what I'm about, this who I am motherfucker

and a little line :)

just a few it was... I'm not in the mood to think of every great lyric I know lol

there's plenty of ones in my head, but one that really sticks out is:

"Do you fools listen to music or do you skim through it"

explains a lot about the 'rap' fans now a days.
