Many round here walk strapped up 24/7.

I don't discourage the idea of being able to protect yourself, but I'm more scared of idiots or desperate people obtaining them, then of being shot.

Think about it though, the more people in your area pack guns, the more nervous everyone is, thus more likely to shoot first. It just doesn't make sense.

yeah thats like how WWI started. Everyone was makin armies and navies and then just got nervous, and someone died and everyone jumped in and killed themselves. Proof also died cuz he had a gun. If he had forgot his gun somewhere, he wud probably still be alive today rappin, and D12 wud not be on the verge of death.

i like that way too, but u cant win every battle u get into, especially when u r unarmed, and ur opponent got a gun. But then again it still wud be the best if NO ONE carried guns.

You could disarm someone attacking you with a knife. And how would you shoot him if he had a knife anyways? Would he present the knife and then challenge you to a duel? If someone wants to do you harm, they will. And think... how many people get shot because of self defense? The majority of gun violence is not defense related. So if someone is attacking you and lets you draw your weapon and you're able to shoot them then they deserve whatever they get. But most people who carry a gun on them do it because they think it makes them feel like they're tough and that's completely ridiculous. I want to see people feel tough without weapons. And btw if it's about all this getting stabbed shit then why couldn't someone just carry a knife and then you would be packing just as much firepower as your potential attackers.
