Yeah, of course I've eard of him, he had a few fairly big hits in the early nineties, but I was never really a fan. I`m not really a big fan of the rap/reggae genre, but I always kinda preferred Shaggy to Apache Indian.

i think shaggy is more commerical then shaggy, always used more 'top 40' beats and features.

Apache Indian is brilliant because he fused hip hop, reggae, indian banghra and it worked.

Glad to see someone knows him :y:

I guess i like this because growing up in Birmingham,Uk your sorrounded with sooo many cultures you learn to embrace them.I always loved the indian music beats and the whole reggae sound,so its natural for me to like apache indian cause he offers all of it with a hip hopish vibe.
Like i said ive met him about 3 times, his mom lives on my road and he was cutting her front gardens grass :p ,i was like :o. His a real nice guy and much respect to the fact he brings so many cultures together to break down the seperation and discrimination between cultures. :worship:

the guys who created his sound and produced him in the studio back in the nineties are two brothers from birmingham called simon and diamond. i think they are his cousins. they have done some massive stuff. apache would be nothing without them. i have an album that they produced for shania twain which is great. when you listen to that album you can hear who created the whole apache indian sound. personally i think his early stuff that his cousins did was fantastic and everything else he has dome has been pretty average. simon and diamond also go under the names subs and swami which are two fantastic artists in their own right. also it was simon and diamond who first fused reggae and indian music. they were doing it long before the created apache indian
