I'm not too sure either but I think an EP is an album with a few tracks and an LP with a lot more tracks. Someone told me but I'm not too sure if it's true that EP stands out for Easy Play and LP for Long Play but I would have imagined EP then to be SP for Short Play. Lil' Confused...

Extended play (EP) is the name typically given to vinyl records or CDs which contain more than one single but are too short to qualify as albums. Usually, an album has eight or more tracks (anywhere between 25–80 minutes), a single has one to three (up to 10 minutes) and an EP four to seven (or around 10–25 minutes).

Long play (LP) is longer, it's the name of full albums!

There will be my signature. It'll be a hot one. You'll look at it and say - wow that's a gangsta signature.

Better explained, that was pretty much what I thought but I was still confused.
