Well I think none of the current shady artists should be dropped. I'll give my opinion about each after I hear some of their stuff. You cannot count on the stuff you heard on The Re-Up because it was supposed to be a mixtape. I want to hear the artists real stuff before judging them.
But based on what I have heard till now:
- D12 are really good. I like their music a lot, but I think it would have been better if Eminem signed them and Royce to Shady, instead of signing them and ignoring Royce. (Royce > D12)
- Obie Trice is dope, no doubt about that. The best rapper in Shady after Eminem.
- Stat Quo is good, nothing too crazy, but he's like Chamillionaire - not extremely lyrical, but entertaining.
- Cashis is not very bad. I personally don't like the guy too much but I think I'll give him a chance, as he is one of the few artists in Shady that is constantly releasing new shit. I'll listen to his album then judge, although I'm not expecting too much.
- Bobby Creekwater - I donno. Haven't heard from him so I can't judge till I hear some official songs.
- 50 Cent was not Eminem's mistake because 50's first album was very good (also Power of the Dollar was very very good). 50 afterwards ruined himself but Eminem can't drop 50, they are like best friends.
I just think Eminem signed too many people at once. I mean now everyone's albums will be pushed back all the time.
