Sumthin for u lot here who love PS3

PS3 Tops in Japan For November
Wii beaten for the first time ever!
by Anoop Gantayat
November 30, 2007 - Sony's price drop over in Japan appears to have had some initial success. A report from Reuters, citing sales data from Enterbrain, places the PS3 at the top of the console heap for the month of November. The PS3, which saw its 40 gigabyte model ship at 39,980 yen on 11/11, sold 183,200 units, besting the Wii's 159,200.

This is the first time the PS3 has beaten the Wii in Japan since November of last year. The PS3 won that month, likely because the Wii hadn't been released yet.

Asked about the figures, Sony's PR division said to Reuters, "We weren't a part of the Enterbrain survey, and we don't know Nintendo's figures." To this, they added, "We do feel that the platform is heating up thanks to the availability of the 40 gigabyte system, the expanded software library, and the price drop."

The PS3 wasn't the biggest performer for the month overall, though. That honor went, once again, to the DS Lite, which sold 358,200 units over the month, beating out second place PSP's 266,100 units.

At the bottom of the chart was the Xbox 360, which sold 35,000 units. This is more than usual for the platform thanks to a spike in sales from a price drop early in the month and the availability of Ace Combat.

=D> Common boys celebrate this is great news :drunksigning: :beerchug: :guitar:

Oh and sorry Deadishot about ur xbox 360  at this rate it will lose definitely. Microsoft needs to do somethin those sales were way too low :n: But relax man it aint no biggie we hav sold like double those sony dudes so it will take them quite a while to catch up to you.

just playin withya man :y:

yeh, microsoft is a western console imo, hardly any japan/anime style games so its no suprise its not the big seller in japan.

and yeh i agree also with there wont be a clear winner till 2 years or so, and the onyl way you cna determine a winner (if there is such a thing) is if one of the consoles start losing there third party contracts, much like what happened with the gamecube last generation they had to fight really hard to get any sort of decent third party games

I have a feeling they will all try some kind of motion sensors at some point... :sweating:

I mean the Wii is something different and fun, but would get old if all the consoles had it...

PS3 was a failure, dunno now, I mite have got this ffrom the wrong source but it seems that the sony president, or guy who has to do wiv PS3 retired wiv the pressure of the ps3 not selling enough.....

i always feel like sayin PS3 sux but it duznt, XBOX 360 has betta games even tht sum r worse than shit

third part companies need around 2to 3 years before they can get the "best" out of a machine, like anything it takes time to learn how to use it properly, xbox360 has more and better games coz its been out for longer, no console has "failed" yet and im sure no one has retired coz PS3 isnt selling and if you even have a source for it show me a link :y:

haha u must be kiddin sorry but we nintendo fans know sony too well. They hav copied us way too many times before, rumble, analog, wireless, airflow, 4 player, dual screen, accelerometer, mario kart - crash team racin, and the sad part is they hav taken our ideas and hav been defeatin us... until now :smoking: hehe the Wii remote, is radical, and a peice of technology way beyond its time and the thinkin level of nintendo's competitors. If they try to copy anymore than they already hav they wud just look like worthless leachin sons of beaches so i honestly doubt they wud go any further in copyin :smoking: ... but there is a possibility.

Interviewer- Sony was also behind one of the other surprising announcements of the expo--the PS3 controller would be motion sensitive, like the Wii's. One word often associated with Nintendo is "innovative." How does Miyamoto feel about Sony's...sincerest form of flattery?

"That always seems to happen and we kind of expected it," he said "We've gotten used to others copying what we do--and we're having a lot of fun with it."

words of wisdom, from the gaming genious himself... Mr Miyamoto :worship:

it mite b radical but the remote did bring a lot of problems so next time they sell sumin similar make it betta, it was already fine though but i heard the strings kept on breaking so the Wii had to use a lot of money to give better strings or wateva 2 da families

the wrist bands broke fomr people misuising the wiimote, it really never needs to me moved with such a force were its possible to break the wrist band.

and even at that nintendo gave out strong wristbands for FREE to the people who had problems, me personely still have the old wristbands that kept breaking for everyone and i had my wii for a year now
