Halo 3 Tournament Interest Thread

I'm not sure what everyone will think of the new maps, or if everyone will even get them

I have a feeling it will be 2vs2 or 3vs3, we'll probabley vote pending how many people we get.

seems okay proly 2v2

and rules something like

1. All weapons map default

prefer BR spawns but this works

2. Power weapons will be on, deal with it

no problem there

3. Tournament matches will be a best 2 out of 3; the maps will be chosen for you.

4. Maps must be played in the chosen order.

see step 7

5. All games are Slayer.

no prob assuming we keep the 2v2, if we did manage to get 4v4 we could do more stuff.

6. After each round, you must provide a link from bungie as proof of your match win or loss.

7. Flip a coin to host.

i suggest flip a coin, the person who wins the toss chooses either map or host. after the first game, the roles switch, and if need be a third game, the person who won the coin toss at the beginning once again chooses map or host, maps cant be played more than once in a series.

And idk shady babie i know im not the best here but theres deadishot and my freind matt said he'd be in and he's beast.

i havnt played in forever, i talk alot but im not all that =p but you should play shadybabie itll be fun and we need the people.

So what right now we have like 7?

i can bring a partner in too, a lot of my friends have also stoped playing h3 but i can prolly get my roomate to play, hes not very good, but itll give us another player.

I still think it should be just
If anyone dissagrees we'll have a poll over the maps
Snowbound / Gaurdian / Epitaph / Construct / Isolation / The Pit
Maybe
High Ground / Narrows

i think we should use the host/pick map thing. All these maps should be the only maps you can pick to prevant someone playing 2v2 on sandtrap or something dumb like that.

but if my idea doesnt work, i think the pit should be a map eveyrone plays, its the most balenced map in halo 3, other than that i dont care, i hate h3 maps

I don't want to just use pit. I know most people will agree with you on this point but it seems rather boring for the entire tournament to be using them.

But if the majority thinks we should use only put then we will.
Blah. In the result of a tie we will use pit automatically or something. I just know I'd really rather not use only pit.


And okay, I like the flip idea. We'll do this.

And that's what I meant is that those are the only ones you can chose as the rest are TOO HUGE.
But if the two teams playing want to be gay and play on sandtrap or whatever then go for it, I guess. But unless both do, then only those are to be played.

Fair enough?

And that would be great to bring someone else in. We need them.

but youll need to make sure its really organized and shit coz i aint goin to post it on the main site for it to be a failed project

Post the sign up thread in this section (gaming spot) and then ill Post a thread in the site news with the rules and a link to the sign up thread

Alright cool.

Well, let's get a set of rules and work with it from there.

Rules
- All weapons map default
- Power weapons will be on, deal with it
- Tournament matches will be a best 2 out of 3;
- A coin will be fliped, winner of the toss choses to host or chose level. Next round, the hoster/level picker picks the level and hosts, respectivley. 3rd round if it is needed will be picked by the toss winner.
- All games are Slayer.
- After each round, you must provide a link from bungie as proof of your match win or loss.
Levels
Levels that can be chose are
Snowbound / Gaurdian / Epitaph / Construct / Isolation / The Pit

The tournament will be 2vs2 or if enough people join, 3vs3.


Things brought up
- Lead/Start with Battle Riffles
- No Radar
- Fuck Snowbound
- Have a neautral host

My view on the Battle Riffles is neutral, I could care less. So speak up if you would rather have them at start or not.

I like the radar but I can play without it if everyone else prefers to.

I don't mind snowbound but I understand why many people don't like it.

The like the idea deadishot had, but the neutral host idea does have some appeal. It just seems like more of a hassle though IMO
