PS2 Outsells PS3 over festive Period

NPD Data for the month of December has been released and once again Nintendo's handheld and home console dominated the number one and two spots respectively. Nintendo DS sold through nearly 2.5 million systems – an absolutely massive number for a 30-day period. The company's Wii console, meanwhile, reached the living rooms of nearly 1.4 million buyers. Microsoft's Xbox 360 console was not far behind, with nearly 1.3 million sales. PlayStation 2 managed 1.1 million buyers, PSP 1.0 million and PlayStation 3 nearly 800,000.

i find it funny that PS2 out soled PS3...its actually sorta sad and funny lol

I don't think enough people are willing to pump out the 500 or so dollars that a ps3 costs.

True but I suppose its better than nothing . PS3 is nowhere near its potential yet....When "Home" comes out the PS3 will really take off!

ps2 is still nice, is that sales of the new ligher adapterless ps2?, cheaper best version of ps2 would be selling more, great stuff, sony using ps2 to take on wii, and using ps3 against 360, smart work
