well yeah the Bundeswehr only spends money on new equipment when its absolutely necessary. Our guys in afghanistan walk around with the best up to date equipment while we have to enjoy the stuff from the 70's.

got the utmost respect for anyone in any armed forces
and your beds and stuff are layed out the exact same way the Scottish bases near fast lane are, i was doing a week work epeirence there and they look the exact same, our equipment wasnt much better either, although coz we were only on work expeirence we never got to hold real guns lol, wooden ones that were the same weight and Painball guns (that hurt like fuck) were the closest we got lol
