yeh man hes most likely broke, he got a shitty sign on fee (hence the cheap ass distrubution and promotion in the EP with hardly a lead single and limited copies and had to cut a deal so eminem would make cheaper beats for him) the ep as far as ive heard didnt sell the limited copies that were pressed, his recent music has been out his own pocket (hence why they were myspace releases and not a mixtape or anything) his mixtapes before were little if any profit.

when signed to a label your core wage to live on isnt that much, because when working on a project you get a different budget that your manager controls for your studio time, but cashis isnt working on a project and is using his core wage to make tracks for his myspace


and all of that means, he is most likely not that rich and living on a average income, maybe a little above average is he does any ad campaigns for shady, but i dont think he does lol


the same thing happened with D12, coz they aint officialy been doing a project slated for release they had to start selling verses/beats to get buy, then when they went to make music they didnt have enough for top studio quality (evident in "we deep") lol coz even though they platinum artists, there so many in the group that royalties get split like a motherfucker same with profit form the album and shit, so most likely the money made from there previous albums is gone

Let me explain something to you morons Ok - Rappers don't make a shit from record deals. First, the artist is the last to get payed. Everyone gets a huge cut before the artist - The label, IRS, accountant and lawyer, manager, studio time, beats on some occasions, etc. If the contract negotiation was AMAZING, and Eminem was super generous to Cashis, he would have gotten around 13% percent. Seems a lot right? Nope. 13% is somewhere around 1.00 per unit sold. Now let's say that Cashis sold 500,000 copies, subtract that amount by around 50,000 which is how much his manager would make, then, unless he made all the beats, subtract that by another 50,000 (at least), now, subtract about 35% tax, now subtract lawer (per hour), not to mention that half gets placed in a bank account for protection by the label, in case cds get sent back by stores, and Cashis would only get this back in about 4 years. That averages out to Cashis making about 35,000 a year since, don't forget, he's been signed to shady records WAY before he was even heard of, so with everything, that is average in the USA for a normal adult to make.
That is why 50 cent performs so much, everywhere and every chance he has, because thats the only real way for artists to make money. And even with that, after taxes and tour expenses its not much. Thats why the second artists have a check for a few hundred thousand, they hire investors and place their money into other people until they have enough.

This doesn't apply to artists like Eminem, since Eminem sold platinum several times on one album, bringing his cut to A LOT MORE than most artists. And with that he started producing most of his own beats, working mostly in studios that the label provides, and investing A LOT of money, and that is how he became an instant millionaire. However, that will not happen with Cashis, as he doesn't have the same talent Eminem did when he started.
