Rapping, Your hobby, Or Job????

Rapping is a must do job, a must love hobby and a must get signed thing..so what im basically saying is i love this shit and ofcourse i wanna get signed one day..would be dope..but if i don't thats no issue i'll just work and rent my own place and buy some pro equipment and make my house a damn studio invite locals to spit verses make colabs, tapes, albums and slowly slowly expand..so its a must thing for me no matter what you think

it's a hobby for me,but i feel like it's somethin i'd like to do my whole life.but,i'm livin in fuckin europe an there's no way i'll get signed.so i kinda stopped hopin.plus there's million rappers just like us who are tryin to succeed,an some of 'em got a lot better position then we do.anyway,i'll do this forever,if not for livin,then for ma own joy.

Rapping is just my hobby right now. I am studying at the same while I am trying to improve in rap.
Maybe I would like to be signed and everything, but if I fail, it's better to have education than not have. I'll still be safe

I desperately want to do it as a job. I agree with X-Ray on that part.

But i know that it's not a 100% thing, so i think i have to at least get some other form of job; so that i can support my music financially and myself and that.

Its a hobby for me, but like any hobby you would never rule out the chance to take a hobby profesional, and again like a hobby you try to improve yourself as much as you can, only thing that would stop me from rapping is if it became apparent is was taking up too much time or too much money for me to make a normal living. Not that i take my rapping any less serious than the people who look at it as a "job" coz i dont and i keep every avenue open, do i look at it as a "serious" career in the future, no, my realistic target is work somewere in the music industry (sound engineering somehting along them lines) and do my music on the side with a independant (even though right now its online only, id still hope that independant to be ThisMeanWar )


alot of people say never to have rap as your Plan A for life, so alot of rappers hit the saying "i got to get it i dont have a plan b" thats the guys who end up broke in 10 years, making it the industry is one of the hardest things to make money out of, especially non american guys who rap, coz there countries will have smaller hip hop communities. so to have it as your dream job or somehting you wanne have a go at 100% is fine, but not having a back up plan is how you end up nothing in the future.

yea of course i wouldnt mind a rap career,plus its the best way of making money out of ur fav hobby...
before rap i played soccer (still playing anywayz)...and wanted to be professinal soccer player...but then i discovered rap and thought why not trying to be rapper..lol
but its pretty hard to get attention from labels etc. so yea...i kept it realisitc so i try (as long i can) to be creative and write and record my stuff....but skool -> eduction is more important... (if i had to decide...not that i will skip skool just to record ...)

Oh my rap is my life. I am extremely serious about music, and have been my whole life actually. I put a lot of time into my shit and write soo much shit it wouldn't even be believeable to some people, lol. It's kinda hard to make it as a rapper when you have no money, but that's part of the struggle I guess. All I know is I'm gonna keep busting my ass until I get signed. It's not about the money or anything, it's just the passion I got for rap. I love puttin' words together and making 'em rhyme, I love the culture and the competition, so why not make a career out of it?

I want to study in music production but I also have a back up for that as well..

I have a lot of hobbies and music production is just one of them... so for me, If i succeed with any of my hobbies i would be happy.
