I wouldn't say Jay-z is overated. I guess it is overating him if you say he's like the best rapper ever but he is good.

Overrated as best ever is def a good description of Jigga.
Underrated, Papoose and Bishop Lamont, even though they both havent dropped anything yet.
And lil wayne is overoverrated, twice as bad as any other overrated rapper

overrated: Snoop (fell off), Eminem (I'm just sick of all of his stuff, he needs a new album), 50 Cent (He has some hot songs, but people think he is the best), Wayne ( :tounge2: ), Tupac (Very 2 sided), Biggie (Liar, and I hate most of his best songs), Rakim (most of his songs sound the same) and most southern rappers

underrated: Reks, Busta, Buck, Banks (but that second album did suck), Game, Obie, Gordy, Fat Joe, Jadakiss

I see why some people see Pac overrated but you don't see him much on MTV or other channels like that compared to others. He wasn't very popular at his time for things he'd done but I guess he did sells loads of copies.

Eminem I don't think he's overrated it's just that he has songs which are always on MTV but there are better songs than Ass Like That, Just Lose It and Without Me.

Even though I'm still new to his music Rakim is underrated.

50 Cent has some good stuff but there's a big part of it which is cow dung which people seem to love.

Snoop is overrated, he had better stuff when he was with DeathRow (MY OPINION) than now and now is when they really appreciate him with Drop It Like It's Hot, Beautyful and Sensual Seduction (i think it's al right). Gin & Juice, Who Am I?, Tha Shiznit are of his best though they are all in 1 album.

you dont know what the fuck your talking about.

tell me what parts of rakim's skill is overated ? or what parts of biggie's ? if anything rakim is underated by general rap listeners, but biggie's level is viewed nicely, everyone knows how lyrical he was with a sick flow and he has awesome songs, and everyone knows he is one of the best. no one overates or underates biggie he easily contensts for top 5 lyrical, and when it comes to the party scene he kills its aswell and everyone knows this if you dont, your dumb, no offence.

and tell me how game or fat joe is underrated ? what do they have they arent getting credit for ? lyrics ? no, conepts ? no, oustanding flow..no, what ? if anything they are over rated, im a game fan i have his albums but he is over-rated like when dre from cool n dre sayed big dreams was lyrical killing everything..no it wasnt, it isnt even lyrical i dont think he has one bit of lyrical skill in it, its a good song but overrated, same with fat joe.

Just cuz Em isnt coming out with a new album till now doesnt mean he's overrated
Biggie is overrated? LOL
Rakim is a great lyricist but I agree most of his songs sound the same. Gets boring after a while.

Buck isnt that great. He's good, not great.
Banks is great but he needs to rap about new shit
Fat Joe sucks... a lot.

wow bar, umm since when is there a right or wrong about who's overrated or underrated

Yes i agree with chet, Biggie TO ME is overfuckingrated, i've tried to listen to him but never got hooked on him, i like some of his songs but every time i hear he's one of the best i disagree.

I think xzibit's can be considered Underrated for the fact that no one mentions him, but everyone respects him so i guess he's not really..

i agree biggie is overrated, he's good but certainly not the best which alot of people claim.
also Jay, i believe is overrated.

for underrated i also agree xzibit is underrated. he is always consistant.
also royce da 5'9'', Termanology, Crooked I, Obie Trice, are all underrated.
