Somedays he makes creative and entertaining music. (Ms. Jenkins, Lonely & Cold, Just like me etc)

This is what I like about him. Of course I'm not lovin his "youain'tgangsta part453668" type of songs. But he knows how to rap, and it's rare nowdays in the rap business.
There will be my signature. It'll be a hot one. You'll look at it and say - wow that's a gangsta signature.

it's not rare, it's just those who can rap just get lower profile deals, and they never get exposed... believe me, if these lyrical rappers got the same advertising techniques these other rappers get it'll change... i recently showed a few of my friends a track by lupe fiasco called "hip hop saved my life" they've been bumping that track non-stop... it's not that people don't like lyrical or somewhat lyrical rappers, it's just that they don't hear them.

funny how not one person mentions the skills of mc;ing.

worplday, smart rhymes, concepts, delivery, flow ect.

beats and shit he should get credit for coz he aint a producer. work ethnic is great but hey, making loads of shit material isnt a good thing.

lupe's lyrical sense, is in metaphors (were he has multiple goin at the one time) and also multiple persona's storys different characters he does alot fo this shit mixed with an above average rhyme scheme (sometimes and extremely complex rhyme scheme but not all the time) usually lots of wordplay and some really mind twisting lines.

WORDPLAY is part of lyrics, so is smart rhymes, adding them by their own is stupid. at best their sub categories.

what's your point? he didn't say lyrics, wordplay, and smart rhymes. if lyrics is a broad term then all he did was narrow it down. i don't see the issue.

anyway. i noticed what Bar said also. that's actually my point of this thread. which is nobody ever mentions that stuff. ever. in every thread where people go "i like Cashis, he's good  " they never state why and still haven't stated why.

yes exactly, he categorized wordplay and slant rhymes with delievery, flow.. which can't really be categorized cuz wordplay and slant rhymes are just part of lyrics... people can have great lyrics without wordplay and slant rhymes...
