the same thing happens when a famous person dies or a disaster occurs. national mourning, flags go down and radio plays shit music for 3 days. it's because he's a pop-culture product, people know and like him.
when the Pope John Paul II died, we had national mourning week, countless mass funeral services, black-white main websites and first pages in the newspapers, no happy music in the radio, no music on Viva channel, everyone was apathetic and sad. i never said it was wrong, because it's not; what i want to say is that it's normal that people go "awww that's so sad" because it's all over the news and i guess it won't change. deal with it.
