his rhyme's and lyrical talent are on another level, i honestly will put him in the ranks with rakim, eminem, biggie ect. when it comes to this and im not over exagerating some of his verses are mind blowing.

this guy seems to try to be like Rakim. and i guess he's not bad but i don't know what the hell the guy is talkin about. it's so hard to pay attention to this song i just space out. and when i do manage to pay attention all i hear is rhymin words and none of the words in between cuz he doesn't focus on the in between words very well.

hmm, well most of his stuff is metaphorical, but on 21 grams i dont have that problem i pretty much grab everything hes saying and there is a shit load of rhymes but everything makes sense so i dont see a problem with it...maybe if you broke into his style slowly coz on his collabs with cena he aint as complex lol

^^^ it's not that i don't get it. he just doesn't grab me. i feel like he doesn't have any real point. like he just kinda rambles random things and pieces them into a song.

I was discussing this last night with bar. if he seirously peeled away from the "wrestling" image (which will be kinda hard because thats what brought the little attention he has) but if he dropped it and went hip hop, he could seriously get some recognition. and you can tell, with pretty much every track, hes doing it for the music, doing it for the love of it. not to make a career out of it. and that makes a huge difference.

He is just saying words because they rhyme, it's kind of annoying.

Despite his rhymes, I compliment his flow, but unfortunately making a good SONG is not all about how much you rhyme. It's about actually having substance to your rhymes and saying something, and sounding good with it. It's about making something people can listen to and understand and relate too that sounds good to the ear. When you just go on and on rhyming every single word, we don't even know what he's talking about anymore and he sacrifices meaning for rhymes. Which is why it wasn't a very good song.

So yes, he has good rhymes and good flow, and it must have took him a bitch of a time to write that song

But it just isn't very good

(Talking about 21 Grams or whatever it was called)
