For Someone who knows A lot of Rap. All of Tupac and Proof

Postby gladimnotsoluble » Jun 17th, '08, 23:20

I was listening to Watch What You Say To Me - T.I., and I was really bumping to Jay's verse.

However, it really sounds familiar the, "Rap music is sudden aint it the way these pictures is painted
U swear these niggas is dangerous the gangsta shit they sayin"

That flow sounds really familiar to me, I think it's either from a Proof flow, or a Tupac flow.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7l2FRSWzimM <-- That's the link to the song, check it out and see what you think if you pay attention to this kind of thing

However, I would like to say, I may be fishing just because I really don't like Jay-Z that much because of all the biting he does. And I really got into Mr. Carter, and Jay completely stole Lupe's flow despite his awesome verse there too.

So this might be nothing, but check it out and tell me what you think.

BTW. I don't want people dissing me calling Jay-Z the greatest and all this stuff. I understand he makes some good songs and he can be considered the "greatest" but i'm tired of him stealing people's stuff when he can clearly make good things on his own. Either way I just don't like him very much, my opinion don't rant on me for it.

Lol, yeah you're probably right. It's just his flow is so unique and good and it sounds familiar so I was just curious

I don't know Wayne enough to have an opinion on that, but whatever, I guess I was just looking too much into it

The problem with these Youtube videos, meaning the Lil Wayne one, and if you've seen the Jay-Z videos- A lot of stuff the rappers do IS tributing, so it's hard to tell what's getting bitten and what's a tribute. I don't know, but yeah, rappers who just steal stuff are just ridiculous

So it' shard to tell who's stealing but for Lil Wayne it seems more like he's copying exactly which leads me to think he's just like, sort of sampling. But i have no clue

Jay Z is okay, definitely overrated. However, he blow's Lil' Wayne's faggot ass out of the water.

Hahahaha, you're probably right

The only Wayne song i'm feeling is Mr. Carter...and Jay kills on that one..despite his stolen flow.

And if Tash is right about the whole Proof thing, Wayne is a faggot
