I never liked the hook from Lose Yourself, lyrically it's just very mediocre. But it is one of the ingredients that make s that song such an anthem, so it is good I suppose. I just never liked the part "you better never let it go, ho", I thought that was really weak, but it did grow on me.

Best hook for me is The Way I Am, it sounds so repetitive, but there's a huge amount of intelligence in the line:
"And I am, whatever you say I am
If I wasn't, then why would I say I am?

That line is genius, you've to really think about that one. How'd he come up with that??

There's a few I don't like, but have to say, most of his hooks are great. I love the track Bully (one of my top 5 Em tracks), really is lyrically one of his best ever accomplishments, but the hook really weakens the song imo.

I think "Go TO SLeep" has loads of bad language and shit, but it does really add emotion to the hook. You can't help but go "Go to sleep bitch die muthafucka die, uh, time's up bitch close your eyes", great shit.

I got an e-mail from another rap site about Nas's new album, so I checked TR to see if it was posted yet, 'cos I was gonna post it. Rap has been really boring lately so haven't bothered with this spot, but I do check in every few days for news.

"I am whatever you say I am", The critics label him as being lots of things, (mostly negative around the time of this album's release), and 'cos the tone of this song is basically bad-mood pissed off with all the shit Eminem, he says he is everything they say he is. "If I wasn't then why would I say I am?", if he wasn't an asshole and total prick why would he say he was? But he didn't say he was, he said he was what they said he was, which is slightly different. It sound like he's pissed off with all the contraversy, and defending himself, so he just concedes that whatever they say about him is true, if it wasn't why say it? Who knows, sick of all the shit, wants more contraversy, feels vulnerable and gives into them or really is an asshole. It doesn't give answers only questions, and picking it apart like this doesn't really do it any favours. It's the simplicity of it that makes it so good, even though it is kinda verbal jujitsu.
