when they feel they have given hip hop everything they can and there presence in the music is no longer helping the music.

i dont think age is a factor, i couldnt care less if rakim is 48 releasing and album as long as he doesnt try to be different and acts his age with his concepts and stuff i couldnt care the age, only when i hear a 30+ year old father puting fart noises in every song do i think age is a problem coz you should mature up a bit and keep child-ish humor to a minimum.

also the great thing is even though your favourite rapper retires your probly still goin to listen to them, coz they will be ghostwriting, i remember some guy speaking about how he will never stop writing till he dies and vows to be 70 years old ghostwriting for other artists lol
