A Feminism Leader That's Very Neglected...

Postby Angevilish » Sep 21st, '08, 11:35

I'd like to express my sincere respect for the one, the only...Foxy Brown; the only bitch represents the female side of rap. I've been listening to her since 2006 only (I feel ashamed). Broken Silence was a fuckin' dope album & Ill Na Na wasn a great album too. However her latest album Brooklyn's Don Diva, was a negative surprise to me...It really didn't come to my expectations, it was way below her average...But overall, I respect her for being there in the game.

Any thoughts on the reason of the humble presence of the female element in the rap game? & Do you know any other good female rappers...I listened to Eve, & Missy elliot (sp) but Foxy shits on them hands down (though Missy is the most famous & the most successful), Foxy shits on 50% of the male rappers out there (50 cent, soulja boy, Wayne, & 97% of the southern rappers are all included)

Foxy was alright in the late 90's when she was runnin w/ Jay and The Firm but after that..nothing. but i'll tell you this Rah Digga is way better female emcee than Foxy and Lil Kim, shit she's even better than some male emcees
