Should Female Emcees Rap? Or Not?

Postby Xray » Sep 24th, '08, 17:23

I think these are serious enough questions for this section. I personally think its faggy to listen to female rappers, i would never put a female emcee on my mp3 player. if i have interest in them, its probably because of there looks. it's not about being sexist its just fucked up IMO. because the male rappers i listen to, are always making fun or dissing bitches. and here you have female rappers claiming there bitches  so its like i don't feel comfortable listening to bitches. not to mention they talk about girly things such ass they suck dick lmao etc. they also "act hard" IMO. because its like a female is no where near a match for a male, and yet if you choose to listen to them, you gotta live with the fact there talking shit cause a male can easily slap a female out. no disrespect to any females.

so two questions here.

1). Should female emcees rap? or not?
2). If so, is it there skill that catches your attention or there looks? or both?

start debating.

yeh, i think too that lil wayn and Ja-Rule shouldn´t rappin :D

naw, its really a bit ridiculouse when females act like there are hard, eg. lil kim, she thinks she´s a gangstapussy because she beefed in a make-up studio, and missy elliot wasn´t real good rapper and aint one, when female rappers starts rappin they movin into a arear what sounds more like R&B and not hip hop.

Females should sing, like the pussycatdolls, they´re hot and nicole scherzinger has a nice voice too

i say its the same with males as it is with females although the femle mc's being the "hood hoe bitch" is stupid and i hate listening to them coz its just so dam..idk but i crindge when i hear it, its like they take pride in being a bitch.

but i do beileive they should rap and i love listening to female mc's when they are good, physchloe and miss dynamite are 2 of my favourite, Mc Stush is good aswell. although i must say this, i beileive the Uk has better female Mc's than anywere else, and imo Miss dynamite > any female mc ive heard. if any of you search for her youll find her mainstream stuff (she is a RnB singer) but her mc skills are nothing short of awesome.

so to sum up my thoughts, they should rap and i enjoy them rapping its great to hear a female percpective, but i feel they sell thereself short, especially the american female mc's. i also think there isnt enough female mc's out there.

I think they can rap if they have skills and those stuff... like every male rapper..
And a beat that makes you listen..

I remember I kept bumping the song "Whoa" by Lil Kim
And it was another song too by her which I don't remember the name of right now.. where she keeps saying different names like, harlem, bronx, new york etc I believe..
and something with tattoo too hmm

hah, if she were a male mc you'd be hating on her for being fake. 50 cent, he sings in hooks and shit, how much rappers dissed him for that?

Killa wrote:Its not open minded though is it? If someone can sick good rhymes and flow equally well and is female why do they not deserve a chance?

its a matter of opinion, and my opinion is they shouldn't rap. yours is different.

i agree with that. the whole "females should be allowed to do whatever males do" is fucked up. like females in the army, its just fucked up

I can relate to a guy on tons of issues....female rappers just don't touch on shit that has happened to me.

so they can if they want...I just won't listen much

How?

The fact of the matter is its natural your not gunna relate to female issues if your a guy which makes this whole debate pointless as youve made it a "man only" debate. Hence a one sided view. The hip hop audience actually has ALOT of female listerners so why are they not aloud to share there views?

thats true aight ill edit my first post and let the ladies share there views. my bad :y:
