Say hi to the new teacher!

That's right, yesterday I got employed in a school as a 6th grade English teacher. It's a whole new experience to me as I've never taught students this young. I'm actually qualified to teach high school students, so I'm over-qualified to this position. But in our country we suffer from a serious shortage of English teachers in public schools, hence I was called to duty!

I actually never wanted to be a teacher, but after I graduated I tried to work as an Arbic-English translator & got coupla real opportunities & almost made up my mind and went on as a translator, but after two months I realized how enormously I hate my job & had that feeling of not being significant or doing that much to society...At that point I started to think of the education & getting involved in it, as I always have considered teachers to be Semi-Gods, bearing in mind the tremendous efforts they've done to me & million of other students to help them getting to the end of the road.

Anyways, If I don't be that active in here (most may not really care! lol), I would be busy work or something...but I'll definitely keep visiting the forums 2 or 3 times a week...

well, I never actually liked school when I was in it, but I started to miss it real bad when that phase of my life was over...I had my own history of hating teachers as well!lol so I won't be surprised if some students hate me, that's natural...But I still have a chance to avoid that as I have my own weird orinigal methods in teaching.

cool seriously, i've always considered being a teacher as something worse than life sentence.. especially when you deal with ungrateful bunch of idiots just kidding, but i bet it's a hard job.

Props on being a teacher. A lot of the teachers in my school are friendly, 2 years ago there was only the 1 teacher i ever hated. She hated me for no reason, gave me detention for no reason, sent me to the office saying i was saying "inappropriate things in class" even though i wasnt talking, and took my homework and told me that only a pig can give an answer like that...eh you get the point. Just, dont be like that to a student, ever.

that kind of teachers are a major problem that's been a trend recently...I hear a lot about such sadist teachers. I'd never turn a kid's life into a living hell in a place that should be pleasant for them. I'll do my best to make the education experience as fun as possible...
