^^

"Renagade" is a song by rapper Jay-Z, which appears as the 12th track on his sixth album The Blueprint. The song is produced by DJ Head[1] and coproduced by and features Eminem, who is the only guest appearance on the album with rap verses. It was originally a collaboration between Eminem and Royce da 5'9" as part of the Bad Meets Evil series, but Royce was later replaced by Jay-Z.[2] The original can be found on mixtapes and has leaked onto the internet. The official song title is actually a misspelling of the word renegade. The song is listed on major websites (as well the album's back cover) as "Renagade." [3]

There's no way Biggie's verses on Dead Wrong were better than Eminems, Eminem's verse was great shit, and his delivery was kick-ass.

Also, no way he was outshone on Renegade, not even on the Royce version. Eminem's two verses were untouchable on that.

The last few collab's he's done have been admittedly lacklustre and by his standards pretty mediocre. So yes, he's beng outdone on TI's Touchdown and Trick Tricks new one, even though he dropped a pretty decent verse on It. You have to wonder if there are rules laid out before a featuring, not to drop too sick a verse, 'cos I`m sure not too many rappers wanna get "murdered on their own shit" again.

For me, the main one that sticks out in my mind is "Forgot About Dre", DRe's verses are some of the best ever, no bullshit. I know Eminem wrote them (I've common sense like that), but Dre's delivery was awesome. One of his best collabs and Dre owned on it, as was intended.

Also, let's not forget Eminem's best ever Collab, where he destroyed Jay-Z, Nas, Rakim, Freeway, Young Zee, Gang Starr, D12, Obie Trice and Xzibit. It was an album called 8 Mile OST, and the track was Lose Yourself.

yeh mart you got a point.

i aint to sure, but we could all be right because the beat is re-created for the Jay-z track, so someone else might have made the original beat, but em made the re-made beat.

yeah I don't think there's a fact out there that tells us clearly that either Dead Wrong was made before Renegade, or vice versa... but I'm just curious, to you Bar or to anybody who thinks the original Renegade was made before Dead Wrong, what makes you to think this way? Cause personally, I was always like 99% sure Renegade was made after Dead Wrong, so I'm curious to see why some people think otherwise

well, i cant find any proof of anything so its hard to be sure.

dead wrong was deifnatly 1999 and jay renegades was 2001, so the original had to be bewtween that or before dead wrong.

and i aint sure but did eminem still go around with Dj head after slim shady lp ? since head produced the original renegades and you can be safe to say eminem only co produced the jay-z version (obvious studio/quality differences) if he didnt affliate with dj head after slim shady lp then i doubt the original track was done after slim shady lp. meaning it was most probly before dead wrong.

i think i just confused myself :p lol

ok but why would eminem rap those VERSES after sslp, shit he was not getting publicly scrutinized that bad back then, i'm positive this was recorded after mmlp.. because that's when people started using him a scapegoat.

I clicekd on the wiki link from xray and found DJ Head's site, it says he worked with Em on TES

http://www.djhead.com/product/product.html

and yeah, what Tash said is another reason why I think it was recorded like after MMLP... but if Em and Royce were still cool after MMLP, why wasn't Royce on MMLP? this confuses me a little :sweating:
