Although our country is going through a recession, Rocawear clothing line helped bring it's parent company, Iconix Brand group, a better than expected profit. Iconix bought Rocawear from Jay-Z in 2007 for $204 million dollars although Jay-Z continues to promote and wear the brand in advertisements. According to the company CEO Neil Cole, Jay-Z's involvement with Rocawear helped boost the company's earnings along with growing sales from their London Fog brand.

In related news, Jay-Z recently appeared, alongside P Diddy, Mary J Blige, Russell Simmons and Kevin Liles, at a campaign rally for Barack Obama [watch here]. In the video you can see Jay-Z, Mary J, Diddy, Kevin Liles and Russell Simmons all speaking to the crowd urging them to vote for a change [watch here]. Although Jay-Z has performed free concerts and has been campaigning for Obama, as we reported earlier [read here], Barack Obama asked celebrities including Jigga to not attend his big election day rally, saying "there should only be one star there, and thats Barack."
