as for the brass sounds, you're right, but that was my "objective" when I started to make the beat, I wanted to make a beat with brass since I haven't made many like these before, and I wanted the beat to have an epic feel

Like he said, he hasn't made much beats like that and therefore that's not his comfort zone. But the drums are his comfort zone but not the melody.

and im amazed how you've managed to make such a HQ DIY acapella, can you do that for more pellas? or was the re-up kinda unique?

Yeah, kinda unique... I tried with most Eminem songs (well from his CDs, since I need CD quality) and it never worked as good as the Re-Up... the only other decent thing I got was the Shady Narcotics instrumental (in my youtube account if you want to check it out)

only negative i could possibly think of is that i'm kinda seeing similarities in your beats, they all seem to have that same feel to them, i dno if thats a good or bad thing cos they're all real hot but if someone gave me 2 beats and told me to pick which one was the mart beat, i think i could get it right 9/10 times....so you could try and mix up the producing a bit for your next one.....cant wait to hear it

yeah I can see why you think that, but I don't think this particular beat is 100% my comfort zone... well maybe about the feeling you're right... I often have more "laid back" verses (kinda) and an energetic hook... but as far as this actual beat I tried a few different things, like I never made an "epic/heroic" brass type of beat, my previous beats that kinda sound like that are a little darker, this one is kinda "happier"

but the thing is, people only hear my beats through my remixes now... and lately, my last 2 "solo" remixes (that I made 2 months apart lol) were "party/collab" remixes, and both had similar feeling... but before my last 2 solo, my previous remix was "World Ain't Ready For Me Yet" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-OFbjfyUqNw) and the beat was quite different I think...

and you're not ruining my thread haha... I think I prefer to have discussions like that, than "good job I liked it"... don't get me wrong, it's fun to hear that too, but there's not much I can say lol...

never really understood why either... he's made songs about killing her, and everything, but saying that he's reconcilied with her, now that's crossing the line ? lol I don't know... maybe he recorded the song while they were married, and when the Re-Up dropped, they were divorced again... something like that?
