T.I. vs. T.I.P.

Postby Steve Spag » Jan 10th, '09, 21:10

So I was at the mall last night and was browsing through some CD's over at HMV and I see "T.I. vs. T.I.P." just sitting there for only $10. I never really listened to T.I. at the time when that CD was released, so I thought it was a pretty good deal and decided to take it home. After listening to this CD, all I gotta say is WOW, lol. That whole CD is just crazy, his lyrical content is incredible, he has soo many dope flows, and the beats are just nuts. "Paper Trail" was a pretty sick CD, it's what really got me into T.I., but after hearing this one, I deffinetly have a new outlook on him, lol.

Anyways, just thought I'd share that....

Oh, and a funny thing. I was reading the lyrics inside the booklet for Touchdown, and whoever wrote the lyrics got half of Eminem's verse wrong, lmao. It makes you wonder what they were listening to.

Anyone that hates on TI probably has a top rappers list that consists of the same 5 people as everyone else (Biggie, Pac, Rakim, Nas, and Eminem) and they actually don't know SHIT about music. T.I./T.I.P. or whoever he is on a given day is the shit. Word to mutha

T.I. vs. T.I.P. was pretty dope with some of the best production i've ever heard, "My Type" was crazy.... but Paper Trail is definitely my favorite. I think its also his least 'southern' sounding album imo

Personally, I couldn't stand the redundant themes in TI vs. TIP. I was expecting something more on the introspective side, and fortunately was what I got with Paper Trail which I happen to think was the rap album of the year.
