P. Diddy..your opinion

ok, the topic headline is pretty much self explanitory. do you people think Diddy is in it for the culture of hip hop or in it for the fame and money?

dont get me wrong Diddy is a good business man, but i feel he is a little stingy and out there for himself. like when BIG passed Diddy all of a sudden became the best friend of BIG, i mean he probably was but if i was him i wouldnt use BIG as a way to sell my records. and w/ the whole Lox situation, now there are words saying that Puff sold the publishing right of the Lox to 50. good business move, yes, but why would you sell their rights to a person that they are having problems w/? why not sell it to the Lox themselves?..

i agree with u on this, diddy is a great entrepuenuer (however u spell it), like i love makin the band 3, i love his sean john clothes (always buy em 4 my brother), i heard he is comin out with sean john seneaker, he is a great mentor to other artists on his label

when it comes to rapping, diddy can be good but not great!

ppl still got their " free the lox " shirts,hes a good buisness man,but i think hes in it for the fame and money,but he did give alot to the hip-hop culture,even if u look all the way back in 1994 where it was reported Bad boy records was funded by some mafia around there,but yeh,hes a good producer but not a good rapper,hes average

i mena i think puffy is an incredible marketer but he is a little to cockey for not doing much other than talking in the backround of great rappers. he is an alright rapper but he does move mad cds. OVerall though i never really liked puff much and without mase and big he would be a nobody

actually if Big didnt sign w/ Puff there'd be no Bad Boy and no one would really know who Puff is..he'd probably still be an A&R guy instead of a CEO

Puffy is prolly one(if not the only) of the most educated rappers in the industry,
but like all buissness man he'll do anything to achieve goal.
He's lived of biggies talent and is WACK as raper, i find nutin good in him, and he does not deserve as much props as he gets.

P.S.

I hate it wen he is dancing all over other peoples videos....

yeah the whole music industry is in it for the money, dont matter how many times an artist says theyre in it for the music..the money is always in the back of their mind. why do you think lables are always pressuring their artists to have a big single before an album drops, so they can collect money not only from the single itself but also from the whole album.

do you guys think it was fair what Diddy did to Shyne? how Puff turned his back on him?
