Jay has been able to keep things fresh by just talking about his life. Where he's come since the last album. I think with the American Gangster CD he had a break long enough to let some shit happen and he's gonna str8 kill it like it did with The Black Album
I hope so.
But I don't know, man... I see pictures of Jay at the Golden Globes or chilling on some yacht with Beyonce, and I think to myself, what the fuck does he still have left to say that will remotely interest me? I think that's why AG was so successful 'cause he used another man's story for material. 'Cause if Jay is still rapping about how he used to deal coke, then I am going to laugh hysterically.
But maybe if he takes his time with this album and doesn't rush it with off the top freestyles making most of the verses, then it'll turn out well. 2009 better be a good year for rap.

I [Timbaland] asked Jay-Z who he would go against [in a super-tuesday]. He said, 'The only person I would go against is my other homeboy: my friend Eminem.

I think it would kinda make sense though. I mean it wouldn't do anything but help both of them. All the die hard Jigga fans would get out there and buy his album and all the die hard Shady fans would go out and buy Em's album. They'd both do a million in a week (i'd be buying both) at the LEAST. They'd make Kanye and 50 look like a school yard fight compared to a heavyweight championship fight in Vegas.
I think yo kinda right about the Em/Jay battle in the charts but eventually Eminem will emerge winnerBernard wrote:I bet he will give us more information the day Eminem give his album release date. First BP3 was suposed to be drop in December (like Em...), than pushed back till jan/feb (like Em...), and now he doesn't know (like Em) ...
Battle Em/Jay in the charts like Kanye/50 ?
