Not true. If you clean the cage every 2 days, give them a bath weekly, and spray them with this like ferret deodorant stuff they smell about as much as hamsters do. They do naturally smell, but if people read an article or ask someone at a pet store it's pretty easy to avoid.

pets usually smell lol i cleaned my rat's cage every week, still.. the smell was bear-able.

Yeah the cages are what stinks the most and it gets caught in their fur. That's what I found at least. So I clean her cage out every other day and keep one of those glade plug ins by it. Can't even tell it's there. Ferret itself has a scent, but it's not even as bad as a dog imo. Of course I took serious steps to make sure she doesn't smell cuz they stink like fuck if you're not all the fuck over it.

My dog hates ferrets. She's never seen one but I think it's the smell she can't stand or is scared of or something. Rofl.
