Nas Greatest Hits

Postby Wreck » Jan 31st, '09, 05:20

I might piss somebody off, cause there's so many of these type threads lol, but I seen somebody did it for Slim, T.I. & maybe others. Nas has been around almost 20 years in the game, so this makes it interesting and fun to pick and choose and figure out.

Anyways, what do you think are 20 nas songs that could be or should be on a greatest hits, and put the list together yourself?

A lot of people like Nas and fuck with his shit for years, so don't make it your favorite 20 tracks from Nas all time. We can do that list later. Just make it the 20 songs that are good from him, that would be on a Nas greatest hits cd. It could be from any and all of his cds, or songs from other people's albums, or mixtape shit etc. You have the option of including a bonus song, which would conclude a 21 track album.

01. The World Is Yours
02. I Can
03. Street Dreams
04. Hip Hop Is Dead
05. One Mic
06. Ether (Jay-Z Diss)- normally I wouldn't put disses on a Greatest hits, but this shit classic
07. The Cross
08. Made You Look
09. Last Real Nigga Alive
10. Let There Be Light ft. Tre Williams
11. Book of Rhymes
12. Shoot 'Em Up
13. Memory Lane
14. Blunt Ashes
15. Just A Moment ft. Quan
16. Got Yourself A Gun
17. N.Y. State of Mind
18. Bridging The Gap, w/ his Daddy
19. You're The Man
20. Hero ft. Keri Hilton
21. Be A Nigger Too

Not bad Chet. You like some of the older Nas eh? A couple songs off the last 2 albums, but I noticed mostly older songs on your list. All good, I fuck with and (can) listen to those tracks all day.

Btw, I'm rephrasing it to, whatever Nas greatest hits you want. It can be favorite songs of yours by him, and not just songs that were hits, singles or that were good according to the mass public.

Chet Starr wrote:Thanks man, but I love the new nas just as much as the old nas. I just ran out of room & didn't feel like making a bonus disc :sweating:

Also nice list :y: I pretty sure I've heard all those songs, and loved them :smoking:

No doubt. Nas is a talented, real dude and a great artist and emcee on top of it. He makes crazy records, and doesn't have to be lyrical, to be great, or to raise eyebrows, ya know? He's not my number one rapper , in terms of favorites, but one of my favorites, and up their on the list.

Thanks man. I agree- I loved all 20 of them sh*ts as well. When I first heard TWIY with legendary Pete Rock, it blew me away lol :y:. Shit, Hov had to bite from Nas, and on top of it, had to put one of the lines from that track in one of his songs later on, but it's all good. Yeah I could smoke (a blunt) to them jawns as well (if I smoked that often) haha. It's hard to fit just 20 or fill up a cd without forgetting songs, so it's gonna happen, and happened to me when I was thinking it up.
