Games You Think Are Underrated

Postby Logann » Jan 31st, '09, 05:26

I myself see Majoras mask and Wind Waker to be the best Zelda games. The whole theme and idea behind majora is so amazing. And the side adventures in Wind Waker is just great the open seas, the unique style to the game and everything. Somehow to me, I find it easier to remember the exact way to play against each CPU Enemy when it's cell shaded and cartoony :P. And the colors just make it a really fun game to play. :)I just started playing through it and I love it just as much as ever.

Pikmin. Idk how to explain how it's so great to me. idkk

And a game I've always raved about and it's too hard to explain how it's actually complex is pokemon. =X I don't play it much anymore, but when I did, and many other hardcore players of it will tell you it is one of the hardest games to be good at. 1 vs 1 enviroment requires a lot of ahead planning and prediction as to what your oponent will do. And the team preparation makes for a very unique metagame. Zapdos vs Hippowdon, "Should I roost predicting Ice Fang, or use hidden power predicting it to use EQ?" Is that Scizor choice banned?" I could go on and on, and it will still just sound lame. But if you're ever bored, I dare you to try and play someone online. It wouldn't be easy. :P

I was just thinking about Crash Bandicoot 2 and how much I wish I had it still. Haven't played more than a demo first level of the 1st one though, I should look into getting them again.

I liked the game The Bouncer. I thought it was cool, not sure if it was underrated or not, but it was the 1st game I got for ps2

I have to disagree with you most of you guys here. I mean I agree with what you guys say about the games, but they are not underrated games. I mean all Zelda games are immensely publicized and popular. And how can you call Pokemon underrated? Yes it's complex (and really fun) but it's definitely not underrated.

Anyways, some games I think are underrated are Disgaea series. Haven't played them yet, but I've only heard good things about them. Final Fantasy III (US) or VI in Japan is said to be one of the best in the series even though VII and up get all the publicity here. Those are off the top of my head, I'm sure there are others I haven't thoguth of.

I used to be hooked on Crash Bandicoot. I can't remember which one, but it was on the PS1. Skipped some homework on that game. Most underrated --> Beetle Adventure Racing. That was the funnest racing game ever, in my opinion..haha

^ haha
Damn..now that I think about the game I wouldn't mind getting my hands on it again. I think the last time I played it was 10 years ago. I believe my fried let me borrow CB1 or 2 and I never gave it back. I remember sitting on the floor on school nights playing it and when my mom walked in my room i shut the TV off and acted like I was studying.haha, those were the days.

Spyro was good.

I'd say the most underrated fighting game is Bio F.R.E.A.K.S. That game was crazy and I don't know how I ended up with it. It was almost like Mortal Kombat except with more blood, crazier characters, cool moves/powers. I think it had "fatalities" as well or at least had the chance to cut someones head off.

Back in the day I used buy anything off the shelf. There was this one game for N64 that involved playing as robots. I think that's what they were. They each had different skills and you had to due certain objectives around cities. I cannot remember the name nor can I find it through searching. I loved it though.

Kingdom Hearts I and II :sweating: I know it's nothing like Grand Theft Auto, Assasians Creed, or War games, but its' still got amazing graphics and it's enjoyable to me... :smoking:

Age of Empires is the best real time strategy game I've ever played. It's extremely fun and doesn't eat up a bunch of room on your comp, and somehow almost no one I know knows anything about it.

The Bouncer got soooo much shit from people when it came out for PS2 and I don't understand how. It was so much fun. The multiplayer sucked balls sure, but the story was pretty good and the fight sequences were awesome as hell. Graphics were sick too.

Draken (PC and PS2) I'm pretty sure the only other person I've ever heard of playing this game was my friend Stephen because he introduced it to me (and I think his brother introduced it to him, so his bro as well). The game was a lot of fun. Set back in fantasy middle earth type times you were this hot girl name Ryn and you were just beatin ass with your sweet ass dragon. Shit was awesome.

Tribes was an amazing online shooter. The only downside was that it was very difficult to get good at the game if you were in a game with people that were already really good because you didn't have enough time to move without being killed.

The 1st Super Smash Bros. It gets sooo out shined by Melee its depressing. Classic fighting game.

Thats all I can think of for now lol

When I said underated for that one I meant its underated to "hardcore" gamers that look over it as a competetive game
