Saw Series

Saw
Two men wake up at opposite sides of a dirty, disused bathroom, chained by their ankles to pipes. Between them lies a dead man loosely clutching a hand-held tape player and a handgun. Each finds a tape the perfect fit for the player in their back pocket. They play the tapes. One is threatened, the other isn't. But they have a task: One must kill the other by 6:00, or his wife and daughter will die. They find hacksaws in a toilet, and try to cut the chains, but it doesn't work. They are the two newest victims of the Jigsaw Killer. In a flashback, we learn of Amanda, a girl who falls victim to the Jigsaw Killer. On her head is a mask, which is hooked into her lower jaw. There is a timer on it. Only one key will unlock it, and that key is in the digestive tract of her cell mate who lies paralyzed on the opposite side of the room. If she doesn't unlock the mask in time, her lower jaw will be ripped wide open. She survives, but her cell mate doesn't. Through a series of flashbacks, we learn of more victims, and of the nearly-successful capture of the Jigsaw Killer, who doesn't actually kill his victims. Instead, he finds ways to make them kill either themselves, or each other, and he thinks the entire 'game' out perfectly, with no other ways out. Or so it would seem.

Saw II
Jigsaw returns. The brilliant mastermind behind the cruel identity is back for another round of his terrifically live or die games. When a new murder victim is found with all the signs of Jigsaws hand, Dectective Eric Matthews begins to investigate the full story and apprehends Jigsaw with a minimum lack of effort. Only for Jigsaw, getting caught is only one of the many parts of his plan. Eight more of his victims are already fighting for their lives its time for Eric Matthews to join, as the latest pawn on his vicious chalkboard.

Saw III
Jeff is an anguished man, who grieves and misses his young son that was killed by a driver in a car accident. He has become obsessed for revenge against the man and reckless with his wife and daughter. When Dr. Lynn Denlon, who has troubles with her marriage, is abducted by the deranged Jigsaw's apprentice Amanda, she is brought to a gruesome warehouse to keep John Kramer alive in spite of having a terminal brain tumor. Amanda puts a necklace gadget full of explosives around Dr. Lynn's neck connected to John Kramer's life support system, and tells her that if he dies the device will explode. Meanwhile, Jeff is submitted to a sick game of forgiveness with surprising dark consequences.

Saw IV
Jigsaw and his apprentice Amanda are dead. Now, upon the news of Detective Kerry's murder, two seasoned FBI profilers, Agent Strahm and Agent Perez, arrive in the terrified community to assist the veteran Detective Hoffman in sifting through Jigsaw's latest grisly remains and piecing together the puzzle. However, when SWAT Commander Rigg is abducted and thrust into a game, the last officer untouched by Jigsaw has but ninety minutes to overcome a series of demented traps and save an old friend or face the deadly consequences.

Saw V
Following Jigsaw's grisly demise, Mark Hoffman, the final apprentice to the serial killer is deigned a hero after supposibly rescuing the little girl back from Saw III! . Meanwhile, Agent Strahm of the FBI is tested and survives by stabbing a pen through his trachea so he can get oxygen. He is rescued the same time the little girl, and he puts the pieces together. While Strahm realizes that Hoffman was helping Jigsaw, five seemingly unconnected people face a horrible lesson about teamwork. They must face five challenges in order to survive, and at each stage they must do the task, if not they all die due to explosives. At each test, one person dies, till there's only two remaining at the finale', only to reveal a gruesome truth... While all this is going on, Strahm follows all the leads he can get off Hoffman, including the death of his sister and how he became a jigsaw copycat, creating an inescapable trap just to kill his sister's murderer. Jigsaw, of-course recieved credit where is wasn't due, and blackmailed Hoffman into his deadly game. Hoffman and Strahm circle each other until it boils down to a gruesome and bone-crushing finale...

Saw.

guess it's a rule, first part is always the best. it's new, original, you have no idea what to expect. and then BYAAAAHHH it just hits you like the climax in the Saw - when the music plays and that guy stands up and 'tears off' his face.. i was watching it with my mouth wide open. and then he says 'game over' :y:

i pretty much enjoyed Saw II too, it was on pretty much the same level as first part. got some excellent moments, and the idea of them being trapped in that house and seeing how much they change as the time passes and they are desperately trying to escape.. :y:

Saw III sucked. it was nowhere near I and II. i think the idea was just to make a gory movie with guts flying all around. when that woman's rib cage got literally torn apart - booring. and not really effective. when that guy got trapped in some big iono what and he got flooded with chopped pigs - idiotic idea. seriously.

i only seen first 20 minutes of Saw IV, because i fell asleep in the cinema -___-'

i haven't seen the 5th part. but i guess it won't beat the first part anyways.

I am torn between the Ist and the 2nd SAW. The first because it completely catches you off gaurd. It is so intense and the storyline had never been thought of before, so it was something original. The first for the New Millineum. I mean it's pure crazy when the "Drug-Induced" Jigsaw awakes and walks out the room, turning to the still chained and terrified photographer, saying, "Game Over!!!" as he slams the door shut behind him. When was the last time you saw the "Bad Guy" walk away and the "Good Guys" actually die and not survive to make it to a sequel??? I love the 2nd, however, because the ending leaves your jaw dropped to the floor even after the credits have rolled. I mean, it shows the insanely-intelligent mind of John Cramer. I mean who else could think up the whole safe thing? When Mathew's asks where his son is, after Jigsaw asks him to just talk and he'd find his son unharmed, and Jigsaw replies, "He's In A Safe Place!" And then Mathew's didn't want to play the game, and ultimately never see's his soon again, and after he gets jumped, it shows the timer on a safe in Jigsaw's lair ring and pops the safe open to reveal Daniel, unharmed. I guess I'd have to say I enjoyed the 2nd the most...
