Which of These Comedic TV Crime Series Is Your Favorite?

Monk
Former police detective Adrian Monk has suffered from intensified obsessive- compulsive disorder and a variety of phobias since the murder of his wife, Trudy, in 1997. Despite his photographic memory and his amazing ability to piece tiny clues together, he is now on psychiatric leave from the San Francisco Police Department. Aided by his friend and practical nurse, Sharona Fleming, Monk works as a freelance detective/consultant, hoping to convince his former boss, Captain Stottlemeyer, to allow him to return to the force. Stottlemeyer wavers between admiration for Monk and annoyance at his eccentricities. Moreover, he harbors serious doubts about the wisdom of allowing Monk to carry a gun. Stottlemeyer's second-in-command, Lieutenant Disher, also has his doubts about Monk but seems to be developing a reluctant admiration for the "defective detective."

Psych
During his childhood, Shawn Spencer developed a remarkable talent for noticing the tiniest of details under the guidance of his policeman father. However, upon growing up he found it difficult to get a job, and spends most of his time using his skill to give the police anonymous tips. However, the tips are so good that some cops become suspicious that he is involved with the crimes himself. To clear his name Shawn finally settles on a career: he pretends to be a psychic. No one really believes him, but he continues to be so helpful to the police that they keep calling him in on cases they can't solve. Shawn soon brings his childhood friend Gus into his scheme, and between their bantering they manage to solve every case they're presented with.

Burn Notice
Michael Westen is a disvowed Government blacklisted spy. Dumped in his hometown of Miami without money or resources, Michael struggles to put his life back together and find out why he's been burned. In the meantime, he uses his unique skills and training to help people in need ...mostly people who can't get help from the police.

House
The series follows the life of anti-social, pain killer addict, witty and arrogant medical doctor Gregory House with only half a muscle in his right leg. He and his team of medical doctors try to cure very ill ordinary people in the United States of America.

In Plain Sight
In Plain Sight follows the story of a Federal Marshal with the Witness Protection program who must hide her high-risk, high-impact job from her family. To those that know her, Mary Shannon is a glorified meter maid, but her real job is much more dangerous. She must oversee federal witnesses who have been relocated through the Witness Protection program and make sure that they...

This was almost a tie between In Plain Sight and Monk, but Monk took the Gold in my opinion. It's amazing at how many phobias these writers can think of to make Monk more hilarious to watch. If I ever met somebody anywhere near the volocity of Monk's germ-a-phobia, then I'd put them in a plastic bubble, my luck though they'd be allergic or have a phobia of plastic or bubbles :zipped:

I've only watched House out of these.. I really didn't like it at first, but then I started to enjoy it more and more  Although I still think that every episode is the same when we talk about the framework [first diagnosis turns out to be wrong, then 2nd one, 3rd one..], it's worth watching it, even if it means only for House himself

I love how he has an addiction to Vicodin, and somehow they have to bribe him with it to get him to solve a mystery, how fucked up can one be? :p

As for House, here's a cool site: http://www.politedissent.com/house_pd.html - medical reviews of every House MD episode. Interesting read, in case someone thought House and his team are perfect :p
