"Long is the way, and hard, that out of hell leads up to light."

This thriller portrays the exploits of a deranged serial-killer. His twisted agenda involves choosing seven victims who represent egregious examples of transgressions of each of the Seven Deadly Sins. He then views himself as akin to the Sword of God, handing out horrific punishment to these sinners. Two cops, an experienced veteran of the streets who is about to retire and the ambitious young homicide detective hired to replace him, team up to capture the perpetrator of these gruesome killings. Unfortunately, they too become ensnared in his diabolical plan....

Killer Cast
Morgan Freeman
Brad Pitt
Gwyneth Paltrow
Kevin Spacey - Forgotten, but Remembered by 'Critic' BlaqReaper

Notable Quote
"Ernest Hemingway once wrote, 'The world is a fine place and worth fighting for'. I agree with the second part" - Dective Summerset

The Se7en Sins
Lust
Gluttony
Greed
Sloth
Wrath
Envy
Pride

This movie is the original in Serial Killer Thrillers/Suspenses/Horror etc. No Script, No Director, and No Other Movie can live up to Se7en's diabolicalness of evil. A lot of films have tried, Saw, The Killing Gene (Which I can say came Close), Wrong Turn, When A Stranger Calls, they all tried, and failed! This movie can't be surpassed! The torture, the truths mentioned throughout this movie, the evil that is displayed, all equal up to something huge. Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt will never be able to outrun or outdo the great roles and character's they portrayed and created in this film. It was their first, and last true classic.

I would have to say out of the Se7en Deadly Sins, Envy would be my pick at the worst. Why. Simply put, you shouldn't walk around trying to live in other's shadows. Quit trying to be someone you aren't. You are who you are, don't try to take credit for what other's have done, don't try to mock other's behaviors. Live up to all You can be, that's all anyone can ask for. And when you're yourself and not "acting", people tend to like you more. Now-a-days, people can't stand phoney's or fake's, I can't. I'm crazy, I'll admit that. I'm Bi-Po. I'll amdit that. I say material things don't matter, but they do. I'll admit that. But I'm me, and that's what's most important. If I was a "phoney" or "pretending" just to impress a guy, what's he going to think when the "real" you starts to shine through? It's better to be who you are, and people like you for that, then to be a phoney and have to conceal the beauty that really lies within!

I used to have the same mindset, especially when they would sit there and complain about there weight while eat McDonalds or a Snickers Bar. But there's more than looks when it comes to judging people. I used to be anorexic, the thought of being over-weight or having a little pouch was unacceptable to me, and I laughed at the thought of dating someone heavy set. I can say I've done a complete turn-around. I no longer care what people think about when they look at me, and I'm engaged to a 300lb guy. It's just more cushion for the pushion. Not to mention he's a big teddy bear full of love and heart

This movie was great. I originally heard they were going to change the ending to make it a happy ending, but I'm soooo glad they didn't. The message of the movie was kept and it was so powerful. But I wouldn't say it's Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman's best roles, since they are amazing in nearly all of their movies.

Also, greed is probably the worst sin for me. So many of the world's problems comes from some guy wanting just a little bit more cash or a little bit more land or something like that.

Also, how can you forget Kevin Spacey in the notable cast :tounge2:. He may not be as famous as the other three, but he is definitely well known and plays an amazing John Doe :sweating: .
