This is a mix I made, I always wanted to lay Rakim vocals on my beat, so I finally did it. The beat has samples from "Fugees - Ready Or Not" track, which than I added drums, strings, pianos etc. My last mix was a century ago, but this time its different cause I made the beat aswell so take a listen and let me know what you think in detail if possible. damn nice one on the intro, havin Rakim speakin, love this beat, i used to listen to the fugees album in the mid 90s, but yeh, the verse sounds crazy on this beat, flows well, love the chorus, lauryn kills it,second verse is nice to,blended great, throwing this on my ipod, cheers

nice remix....the only thing that isnt up to par is the quality difference between Lauryn Hill and Rakim...but thatz the pellas fault i guess

Flows really really really well on the beat.
This beat is amazing man, love the drums! Fits it perfectly.
Lauryn's quality isn't on the same level as Rakim's though, but fuck that. sounds great either way!

Piano could've been louder and could've had a higher pitched piano playng another melody to distinguish it, but the string and drums make it sound fuller and ricjer with the sample aswell and overal a really good track

the hihat is a bit too loud of my liking.. good beat though, glad your finally getting the sampling.. rakim's vocals need to be louder.. the hook is cool but u should have changed it up a bit...

the remix part is pretty cool, Rakim sounds great on the beat and it fits well with Lauren Hill track (except for the difference of quality, but there's not much you can do for that)... the only thing that brings the track down is the piano you added, it sounds out of tune with the original sample... when you don't pay attention to it, you might not notice it, but once you notice it, it's hard to ignore it so that made me appreciate the remix less, but I just listened to it again, and like I said, the remix is pretty cool

Thanks Mart for the detailed feed homie, and yeah I get what your saying, I just never concentrated on the piano itself, which is why I didn't realize. Yeah there wasn't much I can do to the chorus cause I chopped it up from the original, so adding effects to that would of changed how the beat sounds too.

lovin the intro man. sick shit. like how the melody thing goes from headphone to headphone. the hihats coulda been lower, but damn man. nice remix. if i hadn't heard this before, i wouldn't have known it was remix. damn, it flows really nice.
verse 1 was noticeably better than 2, but that's ok, lol. it's the pellas. i thought it was sick man.

Not sure what it's called but I loved the background melody. It gave the song a nice build up feel but kept it relaxed. Not sure if that makes sense, hopefully you get what I mean.

Lauren hill isn't really my thing but other than that this was great.

it was fire bro , the flow is sick in both verses nothing to comment on that , the delivery is great you did'nt lack anything from the flow & delivery , i liked the beat it's pretty good and it fits actually , the concept was there and the rhymes and lyrics were sick , so yeah everything is good bro,, keep it up ,, nd keep recording
