Who the fuck cares? I mean honestly. Marriage isn't sacred with a 50+% divorce rate. All they're asking for is the same 50% chance of being happy with one person in a serious, committed relationship. If fuckin Britney Spears can get married for 40 some odd hours then gay people should be able to try marriage just as freely. It has no baring over me or anything I do, so I have no reason to disagree with it. That said yeah gay marriage is cool with me.

Face it, society has nothing against "unnatural" things, until they need a reason to bash gays.

Overall, it doesn't affect me at all, but I believe gay people should have the same rights as everyone else for all the reasons mentioned in this thread.

And it has been scienticifically proven that homosexualality is something you're born with. People who suddenly "turn gay" have just hit the point where they've fully realized it. They may have had clues towards it here and there, which they deny in their own mind. And sometimes it can take a lot for someone to come out about who they really are, for lots of reasons. A simple example would be things like being insulted about it, and not being accepted.

Some cultural differences shouldn't define or differentiate one from a social stand point. Gay marriage happens to fall under the category of 'yes, it's ok', or 'no, it's terrible'. In this case, it's hard to determine what the proper solution would be. How do you make everyone happy, when there are at least two substantially different sides to every argument regarding this topic. Simple, in my opinion of course. I think gay marriages should be allowed in certain more accepting states, such as California and New York, and disapproved by laws in racists states such as Minnesota or Virginia.

Why? Of course this will cause a tension between gay people and non gay people, but there is a current tension that isn't doing anyone any good... Considering most states still disallow same sex marriages. This way, gay people will be much happier in more accepting areas. Why would you want to live in a place that you are not wanted in to begin with?

Sad? Yes, but the fact of the matter is that no matter how you see things, there will always be a difference in certain peoples mental evolution, where some will still be closed on a subject and carry their thoughts and hatred along, embedding it in their children minds, which will simply cycle the cause again.

gay marriage should be allowed, but limited to certain states. That's is my opinion.

Allow me to debunk everything you have stated in this arguement. You say homosexuality is not of human nature, so let us define what human nature is. Human nature in essance is the time line of humanity as a whole, sexuality, gender or any Man Made stigma or classifacation does not define what human nature is. You say man on man is disgusting, yet if I asked you before this arguement even was thought of that if you thought lesbian pornography was acceptable you would say yes. That my friend is a double standard, and that does not solifidy your character in anyway.

Marriage is marriage. Marriage is the unification of humans together. Notice I said HUMANS, no where did the laws of man say that marriage was only for the straight community. Historically homosexuality was accepted in many different races and places such as the Japanese, Romans, and the Greeks. If they were able to openly accept it as what it is, why can't you. You are blessed with the knowledge of having knowledge, now if you do not want to use that knowledge to your advantage, it is your problem, but do not bring your ignorance to the spotlight by expressing such close minded and illogical statements.
