Let me give some background information.
Back in the summer, me Tash and Bar were planning to make a mixtape. Tash was to produce all the beats and mix all the acapellas, to make it equal, and me and Bar would provide vocals and lyrics (obviously). So, due to my kinda lazy approach to music during the summer (i just got really lazy) we only made a couple of songs. This is the only one i could salvage. It's the mixed verse for a song we were going to make called Thank You, i believe. The beat isn't finished, obviously, because Tash was using a technique where he'd edit parts of the beat around our verses. This was just done to check it was mixed correctly, and luckily Bar happened to send it to me when he sent me a .zip of all the old shit of mine he had. Obviously there was meant to be a hook and Bar had a verse, but it didn't make it that far.
The lyrics are about thanking the people who got us started and who helped us carry on with music. The reference to "Josh" is a reference to a mate of mine who is one of the people who has shown most enthusiasm with my music, even back when i was just beginning. The line "people who will tell us our shit's good" doesn't reference dickriders, it references people who feedback and who think we are at a good standard honestly and truthfully. The reference to "started rapping together in 2006" is obviously a reference to mine and Bar's musical relationship (no homo). The reference to "Superstar was rapped at Christmas" is a reference to the time i did the Superstar song in the school talent show and people went crazy.
I can't really be judged on this because it is still pretty old (Summer 2008), but it is one of the more recent songs i made because i had a lapse in music from summer to about October. So i suppose if you want you can consider this a bit of a glimpse into what my music's normally like. But it is by no means my full potential.

The people who since the start of school made me believe in this shit
From people telling me my raps are hateful and sadistic
To the people who went nuts when Superstar was rapped at Christmas
The people who egged me on, and those who'd never let me stop
These people are the foundation for the fucking strength we've got
Of course haters have said a lot, they motivate me, get me on
A fucking high until i rap until my fucking breath is gone
Started rapping together in 2006
On official instrumentals, rapping about stupid shit
People helped us to improve look at us now we're just mint
Now we keep doing our thing till we get found, and people think
What they think, long as there's people who will tell us our shit's good
We'll always carry on, our music forever is in touch
With the people who got us started, so don't think you're forgotten
Cheers to Josh, the mate who always told me never to stop it, 'so..
