Help Please! Craigslist Post [Peer Edit]

What's Guccii Folkss... I'm sellin my car.. Tryna make it sound good on craigslist.. Any advice on making it seem more appealing to people.. Help me out! I really need to sell this bitch soon lol.

Hello I’m selling a ’91 Mercury Cougar. The vehicle itself is very nice. The interior is in good shape. The car runs great and only has 118,xxx miles which is very good for it’s year. The car is reliable and in the time I’ve had it I’ve had no problems as far as how it runs. Now you’re thinking- here comes the bad part. Well, the turn signals aren’t working. But this should be an easy fix (not for me). I replaced the turn signal switch in the steering column which was around 80. I have a new flasher for it. I’ve asked people, and they say the only thing left that would make them not work is that. Also, the windows don’t work. They haven’t since I bought the car about 5 months ago. It has an after-market CD player, and dynamite in the trunk.

I bought the car for 1800, and because of the turn signals, I’m asking $1150 OBO. I’m willing to let it go for around 900 at the least. I’ve been saving money and I can finally upgrade to something nicer.

I’d also be willing to trade the car, and cash for something like a ~95-99 neon, monte carlo, cavalier or Saturn. But I’d like to hear all offers!

If interested call me at 419-296-XXXX between 3 and 11 pm. Anytime weekends. If I don’t answer, leave a message with your number and I’ll call you back!

Thanks, Logan

It sounds kind of stupid that u tell the for how much u can let it go...
u should rather say something like "My initial price is 1000$ (for example)" and make that price about 20% higher then u actually wanted, then drop that 20 % wen they start bargaining.

Make the price higher, don't tell them right away that you are willing to sell it for less.

edit... didnt see david suggested it already.
